2018 - WIPs

We are almost at the end of 2018, I was hoping I would have the time and strive to finish some of those wips we all have in the deep, darkest dungeons of our hard drives, but I realized I will feel better if I just move on, they all served their purpose, I learned from most of them, and now it is time to just let it go.

Here I share some of them, at least the ones I considered more interesting to show, I hope you like it, none of them are finished but they have a special place in my heart.

Thank you for passing by, and feel free to share in the comments if you have some of those too, I hope we all finish more cool stuff next year :)

My first attempt of a more "realistic" realtime character, wip of the skin texture.

Wip of the modeling, still had a lot to do but I wanted to focus on studying the skin details/textures.

Skin wasn't good enough yet, I had to stop to focus on work stuff and ended up never returning to it.

Started this one during a workshop with Bernardo Cruzeiro and Bruno Zorzi for statues/collectibles.

A more polished version, but not finished yet, to be honest I didn't feel like I wanted to keep working on it.

My version of Miles Morales, it was really interesting to research some faces reference for this one.

Wip of the sculpting process, I planned to study facial details, but never had the time to get back to it.

Some steps of the lookdev/grooming process, I wasn't happy with the hair yet and my old PC suffered a lot to work with it.

There was still a lot to add and improve on this one, based on Ruben Chavez's concept art for the Iron Giant movie.
